By accessing and using the Community Air Monitoring in Maywood-Vernon-Bell-East Commerce Feedback Map (Community Map) provided by the California Air Resources Board (CARB), you agree to and acknowledge the following: 

  1. Your comments may become viewable to the public and all users of the Community Map once posted and subject to release under the California Public Records Act.
  2. You are responsible for the content that you post in a comment to the Community Map, including its legality, reliability, and appropriateness.

  4. Your comments must not contain proprietary, confidential, sensitive, or personally identifying information (e.g., name, Social Security Number, physical description, home address, home telephone number, education, financial matters, and medical or employment history).
  5. You will not post comments or take any action when using the Community Map that infringes or violates someone else's rights or otherwise violates the law.
  6. CARB reserves the right to remove any content posted to the Community Map tool, including content that is deemed offensive, irrelevant, unlawful, misleading, or inconsistent with these terms and conditions, or content that contains threats, defamatory statements, hate speech, promotions or endorsements of services or products, or unauthorized copyrighted or proprietary information.
  7. CARB reserves the right to review, edit, modify, publish, or decline publication of your comments.
  8. Your comments are not part of the administrative record for any active rulemaking by CARB.
  9. Any content posted to the Community Map may be used by CARB to enhance existing features or to guide the addition of new features without attribution or notification to the original poster.
  10. Any suggestions, ideas, or feedback you provide through the Community Map may be used by CARB for any purpose, without any obligation to compensate you or seek your permission.
  11. You assure that you have all necessary rights to submit any content to the Community Map and that such content does not infringe or violate any third-party rights.
  12. By submitting any content, you grant CARB a non-exclusive, perpetual, irrevocable, royalty-free, worldwide license to use, reproduce, modify, and distribute such content in any form or media now known or later developed.
  13. You agree to indemnify CARB for any loss, costs, or damages, arising from or relating in any way, to your use, reliance, or acceptance of information or other content on this website. Community Air Monitoring in Maywood-Vernon-Bell-East Commerce

Welcome to the Community Air Monitoring Social Pinpoint Map for the Maywood, Vernon, Bell, and East Commerce Communities

This map is intended to share information on air pollution sources, and for community members to provide comments and share concerns regarding air pollution in your communities. This information will be used to help plan and conduct community-led air quality monitoring in the Maywood, Vernon, Bell, and East Commerce communities.  

How to add a new comment or source of concern:

  1. Locate the appropriate marker at the top center of the page. The Source of Concern marker can be used mark a facility which feel could be a source of pollution and tell us why. The Comment marker can be used to share general air pollution concerns, share a possible air monitoring location, or any other comments related to local air pollution concerns. 
  2. Select the marker you want at the top of the page and drag it to the spot on the map related to the comment you want to leave. When you let go, a box will open that ask you to provide the information you want to share. You are welcome to place as many markers as you like. 
  3. Comments left by others can be seen by selecting the marker, and a pop-up box will appear. If you would like to add to the conversation of an existing comment, select the "Start a Discussion" button in the pop-up box and ask questions or share comments. When you are done, select the "Reply" button. You can also select "Like" to show support to a comment.
